The Lizard King is Free

I think most people know that I am a Doors fan. This past spring I went to see two of the remaining 3 members play in concert. And back in 1999 when I went to Paris the first place I went to was Jim Morrison's grave. I learned today that Jim Morrison was posthumously pardoned Thursday for a 1969 indecent exposure conviction in Florida. It is a little late, but is good to know that Mr. Mo Jo Risin is a free man.

Lyric of the Day (Actually some of Jim's Poetry):
Gently they stir, gently rise
The dead are newborn awakening
With ravaged limbs and wet souls
Gently they sigh in rapt funeral amazement
Who called these dead to dance?
Was it the young woman learning to play the ghost song on her baby grand?
Was it the wilderness children?
Was it the ghost god himself, stuttering, cheering, chatting blindly?
I called you up to anoint the earth
I called you to announce sadness falling like burned skin
I called you to wish you well
To glory in self like a new monster
And now I call you to pray
