I know you all would like to see the next project that I am working on. Here it is, the Lawe Street Bridge over the Fox River Navigation Canal. As you can tell from the pictures quite a bit of the demolition work was completed before I got here. There isn't too much exciting going on. They are preparing to sand blast what is left of the steel girders. All of the floor beams and stringers have been removed and will be replaced. Most of the gearing and motors will be replaced as well. It is sort of a mess, but they are doing things the right way, instead of putting a band aid over a huge gash, they are ripping everything out and doing it right, at least in my opinion.
